About PDF to JPG
PDF to JPG renders every page of a PDF as a JPG image and gives you a ZIP with one file per page, numbered in order. JPG is the practical choice when you want small, widely compatible images of pages that are mostly photos or colorful designs.
When it helps
- Posting a page of a brochure or menu on social media or a website that won't accept PDFs
- Inserting a slide or page into a presentation as an image
- Sending a preview of a document to someone who only has a phone gallery to view it in
Tips
- The Render scale slider sets the pixel size. At 1x a page is drawn at 72 pixels per inch of paper, so the default 1.35x is about 97 per inch. Raise it toward 2.5x if you need to zoom in or print.
- JPG compression can leave faint smudges around small black text. For text-heavy pages, PDF to PNG pages gives crisper results.
- Every page is converted. To export only a few pages, run Extract pages first and convert the smaller PDF.
