About DOCX to PDF
DOCX to PDF reads the text from a Word document and lays it out as a simple PDF on Letter-size pages in a standard sans-serif font. It's meant for getting the words into a PDF quickly, not for reproducing the document's design.
When it helps
- Making a quick read-only copy of a draft when you don't have Word installed
- Turning plain text-heavy documents, like notes or transcripts, into a PDF for sharing
- Producing a PDF that a portal will accept when the formatting doesn't matter
Tips
- Only the text is used. Fonts, headings, images, tables, headers and footers are dropped, and paragraph breaks run together into continuous wrapped text.
- The standard PDF font covers Western European characters. Documents in other scripts, or with emoji, may fail to convert.
- If the layout matters, as for a CV, a formatted letter or a report with tables, export to PDF from Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice instead, since they have the full layout engine.
