Last updated April 25, 2026. This page explains how convert handles files and browser-local data.
Files stay local
convert is designed to process selected files in your browser. Files you add to the converter are read by browser APIs and are not uploaded to convert application servers by the app workflow.
Some conversions use browser features, WebAssembly, or static vendor assets that are loaded into the page so the work can happen locally.
What the site may store
The site may keep simple browser-local preferences, such as theme choice or output settings, so the interface feels consistent when you return.
Generated files are created in the browser and downloaded by you. The site does not create a cloud account or server-side file history for those outputs.
Operational data
Hosting providers, CDNs, and browsers may create standard request logs when you load pages or static assets. These logs can include basic technical details such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, and timestamp.
Those logs are used for delivery, abuse prevention, debugging, and reliability. They are not a copy of the files you choose for conversion.
Your control
You choose which files are opened in the converter, when conversion starts, and where finished downloads are saved.
You can close the tab, clear browser storage, or delete downloaded files from your device at any time.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use of convert after an update means the current policy applies.
