Terms of use

Use of the service

convert provides browser-local file conversion tools for lawful personal and professional use.

You are responsible for the files you select, the rights to process them, and how you use any generated output.

Local conversion limits

Conversions run in your browser using the capabilities available on your device. Results can vary by browser, file format, file size, and available memory.

Some formats may lose metadata, quality, transparency, animation, layout fidelity, or other details because different file types store information differently.

No prohibited use

Do not use convert to process files you do not have permission to use, to violate laws, or to create harmful, abusive, or infringing material.

For link-based tools such as YouTube format inspection, only download content when you have the necessary rights or permission and when your use complies with the source platform's terms.

Do not attempt to disrupt the site, bypass normal browser protections, or misuse the static assets needed for conversion.

Downloads and responsibility

Finished files are made available in your browser for download. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them.

Keep your own backups of important source files. convert is not a storage service and does not promise recovery of selected or generated files.

Warranty and availability

convert is provided as-is without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, or perfect conversion fidelity.

The service may change, pause, or remove converters as browser support, format support, or maintenance needs change.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the product changes. The latest version will be posted here, and continued use of convert means the current terms apply.
