About Extract pages
Extract pages creates a new PDF that contains only the pages you choose, leaving the original untouched. Type ranges like 2, 4-7, or pick pages in the thumbnail grid. It's the reverse of Remove pages: you list what to keep instead of what to cut.
When it helps
- Sending one chapter of a manual or textbook instead of the whole book
- Pulling the signed signature page out of a long agreement
- Saving a single month from a yearly statement
- Making a short excerpt of a report for a meeting
Tips
- Pages are output in page-number order, even if you type them out of order. Use Organize PDF afterwards if you need a different sequence.
- To pull many separate pieces into different files, Split PDF by Page Count with the 'After specific pages' mode can be faster.
- Extracted pages keep their text layer, links and quality, because they are copied rather than re-rendered.
