About Scan to PDF
Scan to PDF turns phone photos or scanner images of paper documents into a single multi-page PDF, one image per page, in the order you arrange them. It packages the images exactly as they are. There is no automatic edge detection, perspective correction or OCR, so the PDF won't be searchable.
When it helps
- Submitting photographed forms, IDs or certificates to a portal that asks for one PDF
- Archiving paper receipts or letters you photographed on your phone
- Combining scanner output saved as separate JPGs into one document
Tips
- Crop and straighten photos in your phone's photo editor first. Whatever is in the frame, including the table under the paper, ends up on the page.
- Photos are stored losslessly, which can make the PDF large. Lowering Max dimensions to around 2000 px usually keeps text legible and the file much smaller.
- If the scanner produced separate front and back files, combine them with Alternate & Mix PDFs instead.
