About Text/HTML/MD to PDF
This tool turns a .txt, Markdown or HTML file into a simple PDF: 11 pt Helvetica on Letter-size pages with even margins and automatic page breaks. For Markdown and HTML, the tags and markup symbols are removed and only the readable text is kept.
When it helps
- Turning log files, notes or plain-text exports into something printable
- Archiving a saved web page's text as a PDF
- Producing a PDF version of a README for someone who doesn't use a text editor
Tips
- Line breaks and blank lines are not kept. All text is rewrapped into one continuous block, so this suits prose more than code, lists or poems.
- For Markdown with real headings, lists, tables and code blocks, use Markdown to PDF, which typesets the structure properly.
- Markup characters such as #, *, _, backticks and hyphens are removed from Markdown and HTML input, so check text that relies on them.
