About Social Media Image Resizer

Resize an image to the exact dimensions used by Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X/Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Pinterest. Pick a preset, then choose whether to fill and crop the frame, fit the whole image on a solid color, or fit it over a blurred copy of itself so nothing is cut off.

When it helps

  • Making a 1280x720 YouTube thumbnail or a 2560x1440 channel banner.
  • Fitting a landscape photo into a 1080x1920 Story or Reel without cropping it.
  • Producing 1200x630 Open Graph images for link previews on Facebook and LinkedIn.
  • Preparing 1000x1500 Pinterest pins and 1500x500 X headers.

Tips

  • "Fill & crop" removes whatever falls outside the frame from the center outwards, so keep your subject centered.
  • "Blurred background" is the usual way to post a horizontal photo in a vertical Story without black bars.
  • Banner presets like YouTube and LinkedIn are shown differently on desktop and mobile, so keep key text near the middle.
  • Choose JPG for photos to keep file sizes reasonable for uploads, and PNG for graphics with text.
