About Crop Image
Trim unwanted edges off an image by entering how many pixels to remove from the top, right, bottom and left. Precise, number-based cropping is handy when you need repeatable results, like cutting the same toolbar off a set of screenshots. The output is a PNG, so there's no extra compression loss.
When it helps
- Removing browser chrome, taskbars or status bars from screenshots.
- Cutting white margins or scanner borders off a scanned image.
- Trimming a photo to remove a distracting edge before posting it.
Tips
- Values are measured in pixels from each edge of the original. Check the image's dimensions first so you know how much you can remove.
- Use the same numbers on every screenshot from one device to crop a series consistently.
- Transparency in the source is kept by default. Choose a fill color if you want the PNG to have a solid background.
