About Rotate / Flip Image
Rotate an image by 90, 180 or 270 degrees, or flip it horizontally or vertically. It's a quick fix for photos that come out sideways or upside down and for mirrored selfies. Rotations by right angles move pixels without resampling, and the result is saved as a lossless PNG.
When it helps
- Fixing a phone photo or scanned page that displays sideways.
- Un-mirroring a front-camera selfie so text in the background reads correctly.
- Turning a landscape image into portrait orientation for a layout.
Tips
- 90 degrees turns the image clockwise and 270 turns it counter-clockwise.
- A 90 or 270 degree rotation swaps width and height, so a 4000x3000 image becomes 3000x4000.
- Because the output is PNG, rotating a JPG photo will produce a larger file. Convert back to JPG afterwards if size matters.

Quick answers about rotate / flip image in your browser.
Cameras often store orientation as a metadata flag instead of rotating the pixels, and not every app reads that flag. Rotating here bakes the orientation into the image itself.
Not for 90, 180 or 270 degree turns or flips. Pixels are only rearranged, and PNG output adds no compression loss.
