About Join Lines
Combine a list with one item per line into a single line, with a delimiter of your choice between items. You can also wrap each item in double quotes, single quotes or backticks, which turns a column copied from a spreadsheet into a ready-to-use list for code, SQL or a tag field.
When it helps
- Turning a column of IDs into a quoted list for a SQL IN (...) clause.
- Building a JavaScript or Python array from a list of strings.
- Combining email addresses with '; ' to paste into an email client's To field.
- Turning a list of keywords or tags into one comma-separated line.
Tips
- The delimiter accepts \n and \t, so you can join with a tab for spreadsheets or with blank lines between items.
- Quote characters inside an item are not escaped. If your values can contain the quote you chose, pick a different one or escape them first.
- Trimming and skipping empty lines are on by default, which removes the stray spaces and blank rows that often come with copied columns.
