About Merge Audio

Join several songs, voice memos or recordings into a single audio file, played back to back in the order you add them. You can insert up to 5 seconds of silence between tracks and choose MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG or FLAC for the result.

When it helps

  • Combining several voice memos or recording segments into one file
  • Building a continuous mix or playlist file for an event or workout
  • Joining audiobook chapters or lecture parts that were split into pieces
  • Stitching an intro, main recording and outro together for a podcast

Tips

  • Files can be different formats, sample rates and channel counts; each is converted to 48 kHz stereo before joining so they line up cleanly.
  • A 1 to 2 second gap sounds natural between separate songs; use 0 for segments of one continuous recording.
  • If the tracks are at very different volumes, run each through Normalize Audio first so the merged file is even.
