About Number Base Converter
This converter takes numbers, one per line, and shows each in decimal, hexadecimal, octal, binary and base 36. It uses arbitrary-precision integers, so 64-bit values, large hashes or long binary strings convert without rounding.
When it helps
- Converting hex color channels, memory addresses or register values to decimal.
- Reading Unix permission bits by converting between octal and binary.
- Checking bit flags or masks while debugging protocol or hardware code.
- Turning a short base 36 ID back into a number, or the reverse.
Tips
- In Auto mode, the prefixes 0x, 0b and 0o pick the base. Input containing a to f letters without a prefix is read as hex; anything else is read as decimal.
- Underscores, commas and spaces are ignored, so 1_000_000 and 0xFF_FF both work.
- Binary output is grouped in blocks of 4 bits to make nibbles easy to read.
- Only integers are supported. Fractions are not converted.

Quick answers about number base converter in your browser.
In Auto mode, a number without a prefix and without hex letters is treated as decimal. Choose Binary or Hexadecimal as the input base, or add 0b or 0x, to read it another way.
With a minus sign in front of the magnitude, for example -0b1010. The tool does not produce two's complement, because that depends on a fixed bit width.
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you process.
No. Files are read and processed locally in your browser, so they never leave your device.
