About Split CSV
This tool cuts a large CSV into smaller files with a fixed number of data rows each, and downloads them together as a ZIP. The header row is repeated at the top of every part by default, so each file works on its own. The parts are numbered in order, for example data-part1.csv, data-part2.csv, and the last file holds whatever rows are left over.
When it helps
- Staying under the row or file-size limit of an import tool, such as an email platform, CRM or online store.
- Splitting work across people or batch jobs, one file each.
- Opening a file too large for a spreadsheet app by breaking it into manageable chunks.
Tips
- Set "Rows per file" to the importer's limit minus a small safety margin. The header row isn't counted toward the number.
- Keep "Repeat header row in every file" on unless you plan to join the parts back together with a tool that expects only one header.
- To put the pieces back together later, use the CSV merge tool, which matches columns by header name.

Drop it here and choose a row count below Excel's limit of 1,048,576 rows, for example 500,000. You get a ZIP of smaller files that each open normally.
No. Splitting is by row count only. To split by category, sort by that column first so each group sits together, then pick row counts that fit the groups, or filter in a spreadsheet.
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you process.
No. Files are read and processed locally in your browser, so they never leave your device.
